What We Collect

When you search, we record the terms entered so we can improve the matching. Searches are not tied to an identity unless you create an account.

When you become a client we collect what a claim requires: your name, contact details, and the identity and entitlement documents the State Controller asks for.

Where Documents Are Stored

Identity documents are never stored on this website. They are held in a dedicated document system with encryption at rest and an access log. This site holds only your claim status and the names of the documents received.

Your Rights

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask for it to be corrected
  • Ask for it to be deleted, subject to our record-keeping obligations
  • Ask us not to sell or share it — we do not, and never will

Retention

Notarial journal entries are retained for the period California law requires. Claim documents are deleted on a published schedule after a claim closes. Ask us and we will tell you the dates that apply to your file.
